Here is just one of the pictures of the Andes Mountains. I have around 500 pictures from both years.

This was my second year to go to Peru with VIM (Volunteers In Mission). Last year we flew into Lima and traveled 8 hours on a bus up the mountain to a city called Huancyayo. We worked at an orphanage and rebuilt the kitchen, gave them a wash room and started working on the courtyard. We also bought lots of supplies and food for them. One of the weird things for us to grasp is they raise guinea Pigs to eat. They call them Qui. Just like the noise they make. Here is a before and after picture. There was a second team who went in right after us and tiled the whole kitchen and washroom and finished the courtyard. These girls were so sweet! They worked so hard for the little that they had. They washed their clothes buy hand in little tubs. The blankets they would use a larger tub and stomp on them. I have entire scrapbook of the trip. Unfortunately I could not post all the pictures. The amazing thing of the people is how happy they are with so little. The Lord was teaching me a lesson in all of this also. My luggage and some others were left in Houston because of a hurricane in Florida. (something about they needed more fuel to fly around it. HA!) So needles to say our lugged did not make it up the mountain for 5 days. The only clothes I had were a pair of jammas and what was on my back. Luckily the orphans shared with us in a way. We had brought a lot of clothes to give to them so I got clean undies and a really mismatched sweats and turtle neck. WOW was I looking good! I could go on for days with the GREAT memories for me,but you would never be so bored. So with that I need to make something of my day so maybe tonight I can write about this years trip. Man this is fun!!

Just thought I would get this Blogg going...

Today was one of those stay in the house days It was too hot to even swim. I tried to vacuum out the pool today. I got half of it done then decided, "It was his idea to buy the damn thing he can clean it!" Yeah right we will see how far that goes. Just one Bitch...(ok maybe there will be more later) I leave the country for 2 weeks and come home to a flippin pool. He has NO plans on taking care of it. I guess that is what I get for going on a mission trip to Peru that he does not approve of.
