Meet Donnie!

Here is the newest family member! He is 9 weeks old and cuter than ever. It was kind of a last minute decision. We knew we wanted to get one but had not agreed on it yet. So Tuesday afternoon the old man and I were out and about (without the girls). I found a phone # in the paper and had called with out Mr. knowing. (I left a message and was waiting for a call back.) While waiting he tells me he found two people who has them, in the paper. He was shocked when I told him that they were to be calling me back.
You have to understand I have promised we would NEVER have another pet. We have tried a few times. Only to loose them to wild dogs or a crazed neighbor.
Donnie is the smallest dog we have ever had. So he will be able to stay in the house. The girls were so happy! They had NO idea! They kept calling and asking "when are you coming home?"
The name was the hardest to pick.
First: Oscar (how many weenie dogs have that name?)
Second:Nathan ( We laughed so hard we about peed. Our good friends name. He also has a weenie named Kramer) Ok now get your mind out of the gutter. Cuz I had to also.
Third:Doug (for Doug Heffernan on King of Queens)
Fourth: Donnie (it just fits him)
He is doing pretty well on potty training. I am afaid he may forget how to walk though. The girls will not let him down, I have to tell them constantly. Wish us luck!

I'm not afraid to say it!

Merry Christmas!

We are heading into a long busy stretch. We spent the evening at my Mom's.
My FAV Uncle was in town. When we get together we laugh so much and so hard! He is only six years older than me. We are more like best friends.

One my best memories was the day he asked me if I wanted a glass of milk. Then proceeded to make faces at me while I was drinking. Needless to say milk was flying out of my nose and mouth! I made him clean up the mess just cuz it was his idea.

Tomorrow is a very full day! Church than dinner at HIS Mom's. With her husband who won't be called" Grandpa". (he is not my husbands father).
Then off to our traditional dinner at HIS Uncle's house. We see them once a year. AT CHRISTMAS. We live close enough, we are just to busy with our families to spend much time together. Which sucks for our girls. They don't really know their cousins like they should.

The Big Guy comes tomorrow night. I think this will be the last year for him. They are 9 now. This is really the first year they have asked lots about him. I never tell them that he is not real."Wouldn't that be bad to not believe and him stop bringing presents". I know some people will say I am a horrible parent for not telling them. I know in my heart they will grow up and want to have fun with the whole idea of him with their children. After all I think it is one of the best parts of being a parent!

Just because I have to say it! JESUS IS THE REASON FOR THE SEASON!

Just a thought to ponder...
What if God had never brought his son to this earth?

Merry Christmas!

You never know how long!

I just got a call from a friend I don't get to talk to very often (L). I had called her today on my way home from work (just had this notion to call to catch up). She thought I had called because I had seen that our friends (M)mother had past away. I had NO idea she had even been sick. I guess on Oct 24 she found out she had a blot clot in her leg. She had not left hospital scince that day. How sad. L had been at M's dads house all day cleaning for him. M's mom and dad were always the kind of mom and dad I dreamed of. They were happy and playful. They had some rough times but made it through with a smile.

I feel really bad, I want to got to the visitation tommorw night but I know there will be a person there I don't really want to see. She was my BEST friend all through school and many years after. Until I got pregnate for the second time and could not play her fun games of partying all night with her anymore. She got into a really bad relationship with a meth head. I'm the one she called from jail when she was had been arrested. Needed me to call a JULIO in KC. "Let him know I was busted" I lost all respect after that call. For some reason she still can not see why I had to break my ties with her. There were so many other things I don't have enough room on this blog to explain them all.

So anyway I'm the wimp who is being a chicken about going. I know I need to just be a grown adult and go for M's sake. How sad her dad is right now! You just never know how long you have to be on this earth with the ones that you love.

I LOVE CHRISTMAS LIGHTS!

I LOVE Christmas Lights!!!! This is the first year I have got to decorate where everyone can drive by to see my yard. My girls and I had so much fun putting all of these lights up. Last year at the end of the year I went to Walmart and Target and bought all of it for around $20.00. I really wish I could of found a manger scene. Maybe this year.

I just found out we do not have School tomorrow!!! YYYYYYYIIIIIIPPPPPPIIIIIIIIII!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The girls are very happy. Except Banana is not feeling very well. She has got a stuffy nose and is FREEZING!

It is rather cold out. We have been getting freezing rain and sleet all afternoon. I think it might be snowing now. I called off Wedensday night dinner at church because of the weather. That made me do a Happy Dance. I really thought I would just come home a VEG for the night. But instead MR. decided we needed to get out and pay the water bill and do some clothes shopping of the little girls. They are in dire need of some clothes. They just grow tooooo fast! And not often does the old man want to get out to shopping. Well OK NEVER! So I was not going to turn him down.

In the first!

This weekend we had a Murder mystery party for My 15 year old daughter and her cronies! What a blast we had. The kids were all from nursery rhymes and fairy tales. My mother took the party and twisted & tweaked it into what we needed. She added a few new character's, filled all the missing links, and made it teenage friendly. We even video taped it all. I ran out of tape during the last few minutes. Peaches (my oldest daughter) was the murderer. We had no clue who the culprit was when she picked the part she wanted. It WAS her birthday party it only fits that it was her. The kids really went with the flow and got into their parts. I think next time they will even be better at it. Beta's daughter had it all figured out. Ok so she took a really good wild guess! Somehow we ended up with two extra parts (one boy could not show and I'm not sure about the other) so my mother and I played also. I think that helped them know what how to act it out and really get into it. There was rumor that the winner got a $100 bill. I really DO NOT know where that came from.... NV??? Could you put a little light on the subject? Really all JAB got was a big kiss from ME! On the cheek of coarse and it really grossed out all the others. She seemed to be OK with it! I really can't wait to do another! I would like to do one for MY friends. If I have enough of them.

A Camping We Shall Go!

My oldest daughter is gone with a group called New Generation Singers. They are Christian youth group of kids 14 to 22. Once a year they go on a tour of the US for 2 weeks singing in church's all over the place. This is her first year in and also first at being away from home. I really am missing her. Wow more than you can imagine! The web site they have created for the group is absolutely wonderful! I get to see her really enjoying herself. More than anything I would love to be there getting to see all these neat places they get to see. I'm jelouse I added the web site to my page . Click under the picture of them on the link of daily covrege.
So anyway...We went camping this weekend with some of our long time friends. The ole men sat at the camp site and drank themselves silly (well ok... stupid). We (us mom's) took the kids to the pool. We had so much fun! We are planning a big trip to KobNoster over Labor Day. Lets hope it does not rain and is not 100 degrees. After I made the reservations on line I realized that school starts the day before we leave. THAT SUCKS! We start on a Thursday!!! How Stupid is that! I'm Not to happy about that. I have not even told the ole man yet. I guess we can all miss the 2nd day of school and I will miss the second day of work! Boss will not be happy about that!

Here is just one of the pictures of the Andes Mountains. I have around 500 pictures from both years.

This was my second year to go to Peru with VIM (Volunteers In Mission). Last year we flew into Lima and traveled 8 hours on a bus up the mountain to a city called Huancyayo. We worked at an orphanage and rebuilt the kitchen, gave them a wash room and started working on the courtyard. We also bought lots of supplies and food for them. One of the weird things for us to grasp is they raise guinea Pigs to eat. They call them Qui. Just like the noise they make. Here is a before and after picture. There was a second team who went in right after us and tiled the whole kitchen and washroom and finished the courtyard. These girls were so sweet! They worked so hard for the little that they had. They washed their clothes buy hand in little tubs. The blankets they would use a larger tub and stomp on them. I have entire scrapbook of the trip. Unfortunately I could not post all the pictures. The amazing thing of the people is how happy they are with so little. The Lord was teaching me a lesson in all of this also. My luggage and some others were left in Houston because of a hurricane in Florida. (something about they needed more fuel to fly around it. HA!) So needles to say our lugged did not make it up the mountain for 5 days. The only clothes I had were a pair of jammas and what was on my back. Luckily the orphans shared with us in a way. We had brought a lot of clothes to give to them so I got clean undies and a really mismatched sweats and turtle neck. WOW was I looking good! I could go on for days with the GREAT memories for me,but you would never be so bored. So with that I need to make something of my day so maybe tonight I can write about this years trip. Man this is fun!!

Just thought I would get this Blogg going...

Today was one of those stay in the house days It was too hot to even swim. I tried to vacuum out the pool today. I got half of it done then decided, "It was his idea to buy the damn thing he can clean it!" Yeah right we will see how far that goes. Just one Bitch...(ok maybe there will be more later) I leave the country for 2 weeks and come home to a flippin pool. He has NO plans on taking care of it. I guess that is what I get for going on a mission trip to Peru that he does not approve of.
